The Robens Fairbanks is a single wall bell tent with protective eaves that extend out at the front to create a porch accessed by a single door with an arch-shaped two-way zip. The single sturdy alloy pole used has a high strength-to-weight ratio and is perfect for fast, easy pitching. It is slightly tilted to aid access and maximise the useable inner space that sleeps up to four people. The cowl-protected top mesh vent design, a ground vent, and a separate mesh door provide airflow.

The determination of the performance of a Robens tent in wind is based on the knowledge and technique available to Robens at the time of testing. During the test, we registered the maximum (MAX) speed impact a tent was subjected to and the average (AVG) wind speed at which structural instability occurred. This may appear as a broken/deformed pole, or the collapse of the tent and subsequent return to shape when the wind drops. At no point was any form of catastrophic failure experienced up to the maximum wind speed.
