A collection of works by Claudio Ambrosini, the first Italian composer to receive the Prix de Rome!Born in 1948, Claudio Ambrosini is a composer and conductor from Venice, Italy. He studied at the Venice Conservatory, graduated from the University of Venice (music) and the University of Milan (philology), and met frequently in Venice with Bruno Maderna and Luigi NONO, who listed Ambrosini as one of their favorite composers. Ambrosini composed a wide range of vocal, instrumental, and electronic works, operas, plays for radio, oratorios, and ballets, and was the first Italian composer to receive the Prix de Rome from France (1985) and to participate in major international festivals around the world, including the Venice Biennale for Contemporary Music He has participated in major international festivals around the world, including the Venice Biennale of Contemporary Music. Fascinated by "musical instruments," Ambrosini has systematically studied woodwinds, brass, strings, stringed instruments, keyboards, percussion...
