DESCRIPTION

The TAG Hydraulic Main Pin Thumb Series offers compact, high-performance gripping solutions tailored to John Deere and Hitachi mini excavators from 2,500 to 14,000 lbs (1–7 ton). Designed for precision control, these thumbs mount directly to the main bucket pin, offering optimal engagement and versatility for material handling, grading, and demolition applications.

The thumb’s elongated pin linkage connects securely to the bucket or coupler, while a heavy-duty hydraulic cylinder drives controlled motion. The cylinder attaches to the stick via an eyelet mount—welding may be required if the excavator does not include an OEM eyelet. Where possible, TAG may utilize factory-installed eyelets, though this cannot be guaranteed.

These thumbs are custom-engineered for John Deere & Hitachi geometry and do not include hoses or fittings, allowing flexible integration with various hydraulic setups.
