Description:
World premiere recording of a collection of lively and vivid overtures by the famous Italian opera composer Anfossi! This is a major project that involved collecting manuscript scores from libraries in Italy, Switzerland, France, Sweden, England, and the United States, and recording them for the first time in the world. Pasquale Anfossi (1727-1797) was an Italian composer who, along with Paisiello and Cimarosa, was a central figure in the Neapolitan school of music. He wrote 76 operas and intermezzos for the stage, and Mozart added new arias to his "Inquisitive Inquisitiveness" and "Fortunate Jealousy" in Vienna in 1783 and 1788, suggesting that he must have been influenced by Mozart's Italian writing style. Mozart's influence on Italian calligraphy can be seen in this work. Amfossi's style is clear and expressive. Even listening to the overture, you will be captivated by its lively rhythms and vivid instrumentation. King International
