Sarget de Gruaud Larose is the second wine of Château Gruaud Larose (Saint Julien Second Growth), and offers a refined, approachable take on this classic Left Bank estate.  Drinking beautifully now, the 2017 opens out in the glass to reveal aromas of red plum, cherry, and cassis, layered with tobacco, cedar, vanilla and hints of mocha and cocoa.  Medium-bodied, with supple tannins and fresh acidity, it shows a polished, elegant style of Saint Julien.
