This is the first solo album by Hiroshi Narita, who is active as a chamber musician and period instrumentalist as well as the contract principal of the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra. Together with Makoto Ueno, who is active on both modern and period instruments, Narita performs Brahms' lightly beautiful masterpiece sonatas in a gentle and quiet manner. The instruments used are the same kind of instruments that Brahms loved, and the music is recorded as it was at the time.
