Recorded at Dreamland Recording Studios, a late 19th century church in upstate New York that was converted into a studio, the album was co-produced by David Tolomei of Dirty Projectors and Beach House.The exquisite guitar sounds on this album are enhanced by the delicate drone sounds from the other instruments, and Joe Casey's vocals are placed there to envelop everything. He also chose Chuck Berry for the first installment because he has been a big fan of his for many years and has toured with him.
