Description:
Stéphanie Morany, a well-known musicologist, takes on the late Romantic violin sonatasStéphanie Morany, a French female violinist born in 1980, won the Mozart Prodigy Competition in Paris at the age of 11 and studied at the Paris Conservatory and the Vilnius Conservatory in Lithuania before becoming a student of Michel Auclair in Boston. After studying at the Paris Conservatory and the Vilnius Conservatory in Lithuania, she moved to Boston to study with Michel Eau Claire and later became his assistant. In addition to performing, he studied musicology at the Sorbonne, earning a doctorate for his dissertation, "Violin Sonatas in France," and continued his interesting research. This album is a collection of three works with a strong late Romantic flavor, with Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 3 as the main work. The title of the album, "Glowing Light," refers to a work that seems to have been ignited by the brilliant Brahms sonatas. The piano part of each piece is carefully written, and the virtuosity of Moralee's longtime partner, Roman David, shines through. David is a student of Prudelmacher and Henri Barda, and he and Moralee have formed the Ensemble Sintonia, which has been very active. The ensemble's performances are full of persuasive power, including Brahms, one of their best-known works. King International
