The bouquet is tremendously rich in fruitcake, Christmas pudding panforte kinds of aromas, chocolate too, and dried figs. A hint of mint emerged later. A lot of oak has been employed, but its not overly oaky as such. A big, solid, full bodied wine of concentration and density, with a long, resonant finish.
