Description:
The series of recordings of Haydn's complete symphonies moves on to a series of important early works! The recording of Haydn 2032, a project to demonstrate and record all of Haydn's more than 100 symphonies to be released by 2032, the 300th anniversary of the birth of Mozart Haydn, is now in its 10th year. The thematic selections are always interesting, and the inclusion of works by other composers as appropriate is also an interesting aspect of the project. These works, which are thought to have been published in 1761, soon after Haydn was hired by the Marquise of Esterházy as deputy music director, are masterpieces that incorporate a variety of compositional styles to fully impress the virtuosity of the court musicians and the talent of the newly appointed deputy music director. The string recitative, solos by various instruments from flute to double bass, and many other highlights make this a series of works that will test the skills of even contemporary performing groups. In addition to the sound full of the materiality of the selected ancient instruments, the entire ensemble is like a single living organism, and you can enjoy the dynamism of its elasticity and flexibility, which is a painful experience that fully conveys the interest of Haydn's unique songwriting. As a continuation of Haydn's works, in which each symphony represents one of the three hours of the day, from morning to evening (evening), "Serenata Notturna," which Mozart wrote for the Salzburg Musical Evening, is also included as the "evening" piece. The improvised passages by Barneschi, the principal violinist, are also very pleasant, and the sound is full of life throughout the entire work. As usual in this series, a commentary based on the latest research by musicologist Moritz Bauer accompanies the recording. Naxos Japan
