Since their debut in 1972, the Scorpions have remained a driving force in the German HM/HR scene. One of the few German rock bands to have achieved worldwide success, the Scorpions have also gained a strong following in Japan. The Scorpions released their first album "Savage Amusement" in May 1988 after a four-year hiatus, and from April before the release to the following year in 1989, the band toured Europe 141 times. The tour included 141 shows in Europe from April before the release of "Savage Amusement" to February 18, 1989. The London show on February 18, 1989 was recorded and broadcast as a BBC Radio special program, and this live album is based on the recordings from this broadcast. This is a valuable archive CD release, as there are no live albums from this period.
