Description:
A rare collection of violin works by Swiss composer Paul Miche! This is a collection of works for violin and piano by Swiss composer Paul Miche (1886-1960). Miche was born in Kurtály, Canton Bern, Switzerland. He studied violin at the Geneva Conservatory and later became professor of violin at his alma mater, where he taught for 40 years. In addition to his activities as a violinist, he was also an avid composer. This may be the first CD that contains only his works. His style is very romantic, and I get the impression that it is directly connected to Fauré and other composers, skipping over impressionism. I recommend this CD to anyone who likes French modern violin music. Alexandre Dubac is a Swiss violinist who made his debut at the age of 15 playing Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. He was concertmaster of the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich. Tobu Shoji Co.
