Although the vibraphone has a widespread image as an instrument used in jazz, its repertoire in contemporary music is still smaller and less well-known than that for the marimba. In order to break through this image, Shinichi Ueno has recorded a collection of works for vibraphone solo or percussion solo with the vibraphone at the center. The collection includes commissioned works and world premiere recordings by Shinichi Ueno. The result is an album that allows the listener to fully enjoy the depth of the vibraphone's sound and the beauty of its resonance. (C)RS
