The upstream and downstream pressure gauges are required by Underwriters Laboratories® (UL). A relief valve of not less than 1/2 inches in size must be installed on the downstream side of the Zurn 2-ZW209FPG. Adequate drainage for the relief valve discharge must be provided. The recommended installation orientation is horizontal with the valve cover up. 6 inches and larger valves should only be installed horizontally with the valve cover up.

Features & Benefits:
Q: What is the minimum inlet pressure required for proper operation of the Wilkins 2-ZW209FPG?
A: The minimum inlet pressure is 10 psi higher than the set point or the additional body friction loss at the intended flow rate, whichever is higher.
Q: Can this valve be installed vertically?
A: While horizontal installation with the cover up is recommended, smaller sizes can be installed vertically. However, 6 inches and larger valves should only be installed horizontally due to maintenance and air bleeding requirements.
Q: What is the difference between the Zurn 2-ZW209FPG and models with different suffix letters?
A: The suffix "G" indicates grooved end connections with 300 psi inlet rating. Other suffixes indicate different connection types: "TH" for NPT threaded, "Y" for ANSI Class 300 flanged, and "X" for ANSI Class 150 flanged ends.
NOTICE: Do not use with water that is unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection either before or after the system.
