The new album features a new arrangement with popular guitarist Peter Bernstein and vibraphonist Steve Nelson, and also includes Grammy-winning bassist Christian McBride, Jeff Keyser (p), and others. The album features 10 tracks, all original compositions by Steve Davis. Steve's extraordinary talent for composing and arranging music can be heard on every track. Recording this album was like a family reunion," says Steve, "and it was a pleasure to play with this group." says Steve.Having studied with Jackie McLean and played with the Jazz Messengers, Davis' musicality has always been filled with love and songfulness for traditional jazz. Although all of the music is original, it has a warm, familiar sound that is strikingly familiar.
