This is a blended scotch whisky that was matured in a single sherry butt for 38 long years. Distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2019. The cask produced 545 bottles. The bottler is HNWS in Taiwan.

A truly amazing whisky that will change your opinion of blends completely. It also offers a glimpse of how good the "real" sherry casks of the past were. These were actual sherry casks that came from the Solera systems of sherry production.

Tasting note:

Bright and juicy, red fruits, varnish, sultana, bubblegum, and a touch of red dates. Palate is juicy and gentle, nice soft spices, medium sweetness and a touch earthy. You also get haw flakes, dried fruits, stewed fruits and more varnish. Chewy and juicy. A brilliant blended whisky with great age.
