The RC8-8 Vertical Windlass offers a streamlined, efficient anchor retrieval system engineered to meet the rigorous demands of modern boating. With a maximum pull of 1320 lbs, the RC8-8 is designed for use with 8mm (5/16") chain spliced to 14mm (9/16") three-strand or 8-plait rope. This windlass features an ingeniously designed gypsy, or chainwheel, capable of accommodating a range of chain pitch variations within the specified diameter, ensuring smooth, dependable performance with both rope/chain combination and all-chain rode configurations.

Constructed from marine-grade 316 stainless steel for exceptional durability, the RC8-8’s heavy-duty stainless steel pressure arm and pre-loaded spring provide maximum control over the rode. Its simple, two-piece installation and unique spacer tube allow for fast setup on virtually any deck thickness, while the sleek, low-profile design enhances foredeck aesthetics.
