This year, at the age of 82, he will release his first Christmas album in about 20 years, "Christmas With Cliff".Cliff, who became the only person in the world to have eight consecutive albums in the Top 5 since the 1950s, continues to rework Christmas classics such as "It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," "Sleigh Ride," "Joy to the World," and "When a Child Born" with a newfound enthusiasm, even at the age of over 80. I've always loved recording in the studio, ever since Studio 2 at Abbey Road in 1958. This album was recorded in Miami, Florida, 4,427 miles away from Abbey Road, and I felt like I was in my own world again. This time I had the help of producers Sam Hollander and Chris Walden, who guided me through the well-known Christmas songs and set me free to sing my own way. They took a different approach to the songs I asked them to produce and gave me the dynamic I wanted in this album.This album is not just about me. It belongs to all of us who worked on it, and I hope it will add something special to your Christmas season. This is the band's first Christmas album in 19 years, since the release of "Cliff at Christmas" in 2003. Three of his original Christmas songs, "Mistletoe And Wine" (1988), "Saviour's Day" (1990), and "The Millennium Prayer" (1999-2000), reached No. 1 over three decades. Christmas With Cliff was recorded at Criteria Studios in Every Dream in 2022 and was produced by Sam Hollander and Chris Walden.
