LIGHT THERAPY OVERVIEW

Visible red light, at wavelengths from 630 to 700 nm penetrates tissue to a depth of about 10 nm. Light at this wavelength is very beneficial in treating problems close to the surface such as wounds, cuts, scars, trigger and acupuncture points, and is particularly effective in treating infections. Infrared light (800 to 1000nm) penetrates to a depth of about 40mm and deeper which makes it more effective for treating organs and provide relief for ailments of bones, joints, deep muscle tissue.

The diverse tissue and cell types in the body all have their own unique light absorption characteristics; that is, they will only absorb light at specific wavelengths and not at others. For example, skin layers, because of their high blood and water content, absorb red light very readily, while calcium and phosphorus absorb light of a different wavelength. Although both red and infrared wavelengths penetrate to different depths and affect tissues differently, the therapeutic effects are similar.

Superluminous LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) are safe concentrated light sources used to produce the specific wavelengths of light that provide therapeutic benefits of light therapy without adverse side effects.

Pulsing the LEDs at specific rates known as Nogier frequencies produce bio-resonate effects that further enhance the therapeutic action. Precise frequencies discovered by medical researcher and physician Dr. Paul Nogier are found to resonate with specific body tissues and dynamically reinforce their healthy function.

WHAT IS DYNAMIC LIGHT THERAPY?

Sunlight is the principle form of energy enabling key biological reactions in both the plant and animal kingdoms and thus enables life to thrive on earth. Light is essential to life and, through various techniques, has been used therapeutically for centuries. Modern research into light therapy for over 40 years has proven that specific bands of light can evoke powerful therapeutic benefits to living tissues and organisms. Both visible red and invisible infrared light have been shown to effect at least 24 different positive changes at a cellular level. Every living cell absorbs, stores, and emits light. Light signals are intricately involved in cellular biochemical reactions. Different wavelengths of light have body tissue specific absorptive properties and stimulate key cellular processes that result in increased cellular metabolism, cell maintenance and repair. Modern superluminous LED technology pulsed at Nogier bio-resonate frequencies is a safe and highly effective technique to deliver the many health benefits of light therapy to the entire body.

The above chart describes the process of cellular light absorption and some of the key resulting biochemical events stimulated by light absorption. Increased ATP production results and a cascade of intercellular processes are energetically elevated.

Research indicates that light therapy may be beneficial in several key areas:
 

• Inflammatory conditions (such as bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis, rhrinitis and chronic inflammation associated with Lyme's disease, and other infectious disorders). Acceleration of recovery of inflamed muscular and connective tissue resulting from athletic overexertion or ther strenuous activities.

• Wood care and tissue repair (such as diabetic ulcers, venous ulcers, bedsores, mouth ulcers, acne, bone fractures, tendon ruptures, damaged ligaments, torn cartilage, surgical procedures, etc). Reduction in scar tissue formation from old or slow healing injuries.

• Pain Control (eg. low back pain, neck pain, and pain assoicated with inflammatory conditions - carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, neuropathy, tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, shingles and post-herpetic neuralgia and complex regional pain disorders.

• Stimulation of acupuncture points on the skin which can promote improved physiological body functions.  This can stimulate the healing processes through increase of endorphins, modulation of adrenal gland activity, normalization of immune system activity, and autonomic nervious system stabilization.
