Unbelievable Chanel set that is just stunning! I love the bold, bright green used on a black backdrop! Each piece is a different fabric so you get a wonderful contrast and an extra bit of visual interest. The top is a silk chiffon that has small "dots" of raw edged silk fabric fused directly onto the chiffon. This is something we take for granted now but would have been cutting edge at the time. The vine pattern is screened directly onto the silk and it has a touch of transparency that offsets its high neck and covered sleeves. The skirt is done in a silk faille that has a ribbed texture to it. The waist nips in  and then the skirt is very full and the fabric keeps the volume without it being too "shaped". It is quite beautiful and the entire set in in excellent, appears unworn condition.

The top is unlined and semi-transparent. It closes with buttons at the front and has buttons on each cuff. The tie at the neck is attached. The skirt is also unlined and closes down the front with buttons. Pockets sit on each hip. Tagged a Chanel 38
