Out on the water can get pretty chilly, so the British Navy had these Light Insulation Garments (LIG). Made with a polyamide exterior and polyester G-Loft insulation inside to ensure insulating properties continue to work even when wet. These have a nice loft to them while not being super bulky and are another surplus item that has no trouble fitting into civilian life. The exterior has a micro ripstop quality and as these are surplus, may have the odd mark or identification written on. These Carinthia jackets are light weight, breathable, dry fast and keep you toasty. While these jackets don't have a hood, they would make a great under layer to another coat or for those brisk commutes.
