🌱 Ensures accurate measurement of hydroponic nutrient solutions and plant food concentrates
✔️ Official calibration fluid used with APERA INSTRUMENTS EC60 and PC60 pocket testers
Calibration solutions cross-reference the accuracy of your EC meter. By calibrating regularly, growers can ensure the readings taken from nutrient reservoirs or plant food concentrates are accurate and dependable.
This helps maintain proper nutrient strength and supports consistent hydroponic system management.
Prepare the Sample
Pour a small amount of the AUSTRALIAN SCIENTIFIC 1413µS/cm solution into a clean, dry container. Do not place the probe directly into the bottle to prevent contamination.
Temperature Equilibrium
Ensure the solution and conductivity probe are both at 25°C for accurate calibration.
Rinse the Probe
Rinse the conductivity probe with deionised or distilled water before immersion.
Calibrate the Meter
Immerse the probe into the solution
Gently stir to remove air bubbles
Wait for the reading to stabilise
Press CAL & hold until the meter calibrates to 1413 µS/cm (1.41 mS/cm)
Discard Used Solution
Always discard any used calibration solution after use.
🧴 Storage: Keep the bottle tightly sealed in a cool, dark place
⏳ Shelf Life: Only use solution within its expiration date
🔁 Calibration Frequency: Calibrate regularly, especially for new probes, after long storage, or when high accuracy is required
