This old steel bit has a central arch or port with a pointed top, the facetted ends of the port protrude below the mouthpiece of the bit they are not quite the same length.

The bars of the mouthpiece are rectangular in section and cast with ridges on the surface that would contact the horse's tongue.
The fine cheeks of the bit curve backwards, they are quite intricately shaped and have loops for reins

There is one curb hook at the top.
