Built on our Field Jacket silhouette, the updated Vanguard brings a more refined structure, upgraded utility, and a sharper visual presence without losing the attitude of the original.

This edition is cut from 1.5 mm vegetable-tanned tea-core cowhide, finished in deep black over a rust-brown core. As the jacket breaks in, the topcoat burnishes and reveals warm undertones across the edges, seams, and high-wear areas, creating a patina that is completely unique to the wearer. The back is built from large, unbroken panels, chosen for strength, longevity, and a smoother, more dramatic aging pattern over time.

Inside, the Vanguard is fully lined in our Woodland Camo cotton blend, giving the jacket a rugged military backbone with a comfortable hand feel. Hardware is finished in antique brass, paired with a heavy-duty Talon 10 mm main zipper and a dual-snap storm closure for a secure, wind-resistant front profile.

Function is worked into every part of the build. A true action-back provides unrestricted movement across the shoulders. Cuffs are secured with snaps. The interior includes two pockets—one open drop-pocket and one zippered pocket for valuables.

On the exterior, the jacket features four oversized patch pockets. The lower pockets are deep enough for hands, gloves, or everyday carry items. The chest pockets are now 2 cm larger than the previous generation, sized to easily fit modern large-format smartphones. Each chest pocket is finished with a faux-flap stitch line, adding the visual character of a pocket flap while keeping the profile clean and streamlined. Black stitching throughout keeps the silhouette sharp and understated.
