I have seen images of orange canisters just like these topped with highly stylized pointy lids ending in exaggerated bulbous tips. The design is typically attributed to Aldo Londi for Bitossi, imported by Rosenthal Netter. While these have lost their lids formally, I think they are just fantastic without them, and the atomic orange glaze is their perfect match. I love them as a pair and would use them as vases or perhaps as storage vessels for chopsticks or wooden spoons or whatnot; they look just fabulous on the kitchen counter!

5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter. Good vintage condition, with no chips or cracks.
