A Legacy Forged Under Fire

Naval Mobile Construction Battalions deployed across South Vietnam from 1954–1975, building the infrastructure that made operations possible — Chu Lai airfield, Camp Tien Sha, Dong Tam base, and hundreds of forward positions. They worked under enemy fire, fought as infantry when needed, and never stopped building. Five Seabees earned the Medal of Honor in Vietnam.
