It's been ten years since this four track EP by California garage psych legend Ty Segall was released so we're thrilled to see it's getting a tentth anniversary split colour 12". Whilst Ty Segall's studio albums around this time were high voltage, there's more of a stripped back feel to this chilled out record. 'Mr. Face' opens with a hazy psychedelic sound that George Harrison would be proud to have been a part of and culminates with something more groovy and full throttle. 'Circles' has a raw energy and is replete with catchy books and psychedelic wig-outs. It's a collection that feels suspended from time and if you played it to someone who had never heard it, there's nothing detectable on here to suggest it's a modern recording. It's as if Ty Segall had taken Bill & Ted's excellent phone box and teleported straight from the late 60s - he has the ear of songwriters from the golden era.
