The Knipex BiX is a particularly clever pipe cutter; it cuts pipes without cutting and fits in a fist. It cuts high-temperature wastewater pipes and empty electrical conduits in an instant, for example, and shortens drip and sealing sleeves with a wall clearance of approximately 2-3 mm in accordance with standards during final assembly. It cuts unreinforced plastic pipes from Ø 20 to 50 mm with wall thicknesses up to 2.4 mm, cutting the pipes cleanly and chip-free in just a few revolutions. The rotating blade block can be used for cutting plastic pipes (blade in the center) or for drip and sealing sleeves (blade on the outside). Two spare blades are integrated into the tool, and the locking mechanism ensures safe transport. The Knipex BiX is made of sturdy, reinforced plastic, and the blade block is made of die-cast zinc. The blades are made of special knife steel, manufactured in Solingen.
