Small German c. 1940s Photo of Porcelain FigurineI've taken to calling this one "the dying swan, and love it for its great gestural drama inherent to the porcelain figurine that is its subject, but much amplified I think as photographed against a flat black ground. The Agfa Lupex paper on which it was printed identifies it as German c. WW2, placing it in a context that lends much added resonance. 3 11 16" x 2 11 16" and in very good condition.
