Q. Does it work with oil-based paint?

A. You must soak the roller in mineral spirits to make it work; Latex paints are best because the water in a bucket is cheap and easy.

Q. Does this work with Wagner smart roller tool roller brushes?

A. Yes. If it fits on the roller, it will work.

Q. What drive in my drill is needed to run the EZ Cleaner?

A. If you are referring to the speed setting of the drill, it would be set on the highest level of drilling speed. If you are referring to the size of the shaft, it would be 3/8 minimum.

Q. Hello. If I understand well, I must open my dirty paint roller to use this tool?

A. You take the freshly used roller off the roller handle and install it onto the tool which is already mounted in the drill. I usually do this after emptying my paint pan back into the can and cleaning it. Typically I hold it down while removing it from the roller with my 5-way after scraping and then hold it upright to be able to then install on onto the tool.
