Gaviscon tablets bring fast, soothing relief from the burning pain of heartburn and the discomfort of indigestion. Helps protect inflamed oesophageal tissue - helps prevent further inflammation by forming a physical barrier to reflux. The alginate "raft" helps to keep gastric contents in place, thereby reducing the likelihood of these irritating the delicate lining of the oesophagus. Active Ingredients: Each tablet contains Sodium Alginate 250mg Sodium Bicarbonate 133.5mgm Calcium Carbonate 80mg Dosage: Adults: Chew 2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily. A dose may be increased to a maximum of 4 tablets if required. Children 6 to 12 years: Chew 1 to 2 tablets as required, after meals and half an hour before going to bed at night, up to 4 times daily. Not recommended for use in children under 6 years. Tablets should be thoroughly chewed and swallowed when they become sticky. This may be followed by a drink of water, if desired. Chewing may be helped if the tablets are first broken and taken a little at a time. Warnings: Always read label carefully and use strictly as directed It is recommended that you do not immediately lie down or go to bed after taking tablets. If symptoms persist see your Doctor.
