Typically depicted as a tavern or cart owner, builder, or independent tradesman, he embodies a worldly, street-smart, and honorable character. A loyal companion to Arlecchino, Brighella offers wise counsel and stands ready to defend him against any hostile master. Known as a reliable ally in conflict, he also reveals a gentle, romantic nature through his skillful guitar playing.
