The Fair Isle 2 Ply - Vintage Luxury. Fair Isle knitting originated on the remote island of Fair Isle; a tiny jewel in the ocean lying midway between the Orkney and Shetland Islands to the north of Scotland at the point where the Atlantic Ocean meets the North Sea.  

BERK™ Bespoke is the epitome of luxury, originality, authenticity, and excellence. This exquisite bespoke Fair Isle 2 Ply knit is meticulously crafted through a sophisticated process involving 48 intricate steps, using only the most superior cashmere yarn available. Our artisans have created a  beautiful cashmere sweater which is presented in the colours of the Atlantic sea and the autumn colours of the Shetland Hills.

BERK™ cashmere, known for its tight knit, density, and durability, sets the standard for luxury garments. To achieve the distinct touch and quality of BERK™ cashmere, each finished piece undergoes a meticulous washing process in pH neutral water.

This dedication to precision in knitting, crafting, and washing ensures that you possess a garment of unparalleled luxury that stands out from any other cashmere. BERK™ Celtic Fair Isle represents the pinnacle of our creations with its use of 2-ply cashmere yarn.

• Fully fashioned for a classic fit to maximise comfort
• Features ribbed neck, borders and cuffs
• Material: 100% 2-ply virgin cashmere
• Fiber length: 34-38mm; fiber diameter: 14.5 microns
• Knitted under tension and constructed with cupped seams
• Pre-treated to maintain size after washing.
• Manufactured in Scotland utilizing 48 meticulous processes
• Available in sizes ranging from 42" to 52" (chest measurement in inches)
• Offered as a limited edition in Atlantic Blue. and Shetland

Care Instructions:

• Hand wash at 30º Dry flat.
• Dry cleaning recommended using perchloroethylene (PCE)

Every Berk order is prepared by hand and packed in our own workshop using Mail-tuff® five-layer tamper-proof packaging. Each parcel is fully enclosed, triple protected, and 100% recyclable. Designed specifically for fine knitwear, it protects both the garment and its presentation throughout transit.

All deliveries are insured, tracked, and require a signature on receipt.

Each order is shipped only when it has been inspected, packed, and secured to Berk standards.
