This is a mixed lot of painted treen apples, varying somewhat in age, but I found them together like this, and they're perfectly progressive in scale, and it gives me no end of pleasure to look at them lined up in a row, so here they are as a set of four. Photos give a good sense of each one including (fairly minor) imperfections: there is one hairline crack to the upper half of the largest one on one side, and the third has lost its stem (I've substituted an antique stick pin with a black glass head, which fills the hole quite well) and shows a little roughness around the rim. Otherwise just general light wear and minor paint loss here and there. They don't nest one inside the next, but the third will nest inside the largest and the smallest inside the second, as shown.

Largest 3 3/8" d x 3 1/2" t.. Next 2 3/4" d x 2 3/8" t.. 3rd largest (no stem; pin substituted) 1 15/16" d x 2" t. Smallest 1 1/2" d x 1 1/4" t. Sold as set of four, with age ranging from early to mid 20th century I believe.
