The Handicare Independent Lifter is a ceiling lift transfer aid designed for users with upper body strength who can actively participate in transfers. Used with a compatible ceiling lift system, it supports movement between surfaces such as beds, chairs, and bathrooms without a traditional sling.

It has a maximum weight capacity of 440 lbs and is intended to assist with controlled, supported transfers.

Constructed from stainless steel, the Independent Lifter is built for durability and routine cleaning. Polyurethane torso pads provide upper body support, while adjustable leg supports position the user under the thighs during transfers.

When correctly fitted and used, the system helps maintain an upright position throughout the transfer process.

Built for Home and Care Settings

The lifter is designed for use in home care and clinical environments. It features smooth surfaces for cleaning and connects to compatible Handicare ceiling lifts using a QRS hook.

Leg supports are available in Small, Medium, and Large to match the user’s thigh size and ensure proper positioning.

• Handicare guarantees all equipment, which includes Ceiling Lifts, Floor Lifts, Bathroom Safety, Slings, Service Parts and Track and accessories, supplied as new, against failure within the period of 1 year from date of installation or 18 months from date of manufacturing, whichever is shorter, by virtue of defects in material or workmanship.
