Marvelously eerie, and really quite otherworldly feeling, as if a portrait emerging from the spirit world, with a crackle of electricity about her. I love that her hair and headband and dress were all painted with what appears to be the same shade of gold, making the bright pink pop of her necklace all the more intense. And then two tiny white dots over her pupils, as if the reflected light of a camera flash. Wonderful.

Framed in a handsome antique wooden frame, as found, under glass. (Some glare on the glass in first photo.) I removed the tintype to clean the glass and replace an old decaying cardboard backing, then returned it to the frame, where I believe it has lived for a long time.  Framed: 11 3/4 x 9 3/4.  Tintype: 8 1/8 x 6 1/16. All in good antique condition. There are a few scratches to the surface glass, pretty minor and which mostly disappear.
