One of the best ways to prevent job-site accidents when installing WarmWalk radiant floor heating system over tile is to use this plastic trowel to minimize the risk of nicking the heating wire - a common accident when using metal trowels. Optionally, use the flat side of the trowel to float a skim-coat over the mat. Use of this 3/8 in. notched plastic trowel also assures the minimum recommended amount of thin-set mortar is applied over the heating mat.
