Made in Reggio Emilia in the heart of Italy's gastronomic powerhouse of a region, Emilia-Romagna. Esule is a full-bodied, vinous yet relatively dry Vermouth di Torino, with a a captivating deep ruby-burgundy appearance thanks to the base of Lambrusco Salamino wine (from the estate Ermete Medici), which is blended with grain spirit and botanicals. Notes of black pepper, cinnamon, clove, wormwood, and gentian complement the prominent notes of cherry and rich dark berries. Excellent balance of ripe fruit and spice; reminds of Barolo chinato. A great after dinner sipper or mix it into a dynamite Manhattan.
