A beautifully aged 19th century brass cauldron, hand-forged and full of rustic character. This piece features a satisfying, asymmetrical form with multiple dents and undulations from decades of use, giving it a sculptural quality that works as well in a contemporary interior as it would by a hearth.

The handle is iron, secured with riveted mounts and a thick twisted hanging band. The interior bears verdigris and signs of heavy oxidisation, with traces of old paint or pigment on the base. This would have been a working vessel—likely used for water, dyeing, or cookery—and now makes a fabulous decorative object or planter.

Condition: Plenty of wear, dents and patina as shown. Structurally sound, but not watertight.
