Vintage 19th Century French Yellow Small Glazed Confit PotA petite nineteenth century French confit pot in sunny yellow glaze, made for the old preserving tradition of storing meats beneath a cap of fat. Once filled, the pot was kept cool in a cellar or tucked into the earth to hold its contents through the season. Today it is a beautiful accent for wooden spoons, a small bouquet, or a warm bit of Provence on an open shelf.
