The RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory (UC 0083) is the Gundam Development Project's nuclear-strike prototype, built to deliver a tactical nuclear warhead against an enemy fleet in a single decisive blow. It is defined by its oversized shield (with anti-nuclear Chobham armour), its massive atomic bazooka carrying an MK-82 warhead, and sheer imposing bulk. Stolen by Zeon ace Anavel Gato at Torrington Base, it became the weapon of Operation Stardust, detonating over the Federation's naval review fleet at Konpei Island.
The HGUC release pursues range of motion to reproduce the flying form with the binders on both shoulders deployed. The atomic bazooka reproduces the docking gimmick that connects the base of the right shoulder and the gun barrel stored in the shield, and can also be held in flying form. By pursuing the shape of the wrist and elbow joint, the arm can hold the bazooka in a natural form. By replacing the joint parts that connect the included display stand and the main body, you can recreate the confrontation scene with the Gundam GP01Fb.
