The obverse retains the classic, regal aesthetic of the Bank of Scotland, featuring the bank’s coat of arms and the distinct blue circular medallion containing the portrait of Queen Victoria. This 1969 issue bears the signatures of Lord Polwarth (Governor) and James Letham (Treasurer & General Manager). Large denomination notes from the late 1960s are increasingly difficult to find in any condition, making this a significant addition to a Scottish collection.
