This piece pulls from the Tehran court commissioning tradition under Reza Shah Pahlavi (1925–1941) and Mohammad Reza Shah (1941–1979) — the modernization era in which Iran's royal weaving programs (notably the Tehran-area court ateliers) produced rugs that maintained Persian medallion vocabulary while leaning toward modern color confidence: saturated grounds, bolder palette ratios, and slightly simplified borders to suit the more international taste of the period's court receptions.

Cohort positioning. The Safavid Tabriz Teal anchor is 16th-century classical court (curvilinear arabesque). The Kashan court Teal sibling is late-19th-century commissioned (centered formal). This Tehran Pahlavi register is the modernization-era court statement — traditional in vocabulary, slightly more graphic in execution, more confident in saturation.

Spot-clean with mild detergent; low-suction vacuum; professional clean every 18–24 months. Not a machine-washable rug.

Stocked in 3×6, 3×10, 5×7.5, 6.5×10, 8.2×11.5, and 10×13 ft. Strongest at 5×7.5 to 8.2×11.5 — the Pahlavi register's color confidence reads correctly when the rug occupies enough floor to declare itself.
