Vicke Lindstrand (1904–1983)
Vicke Lindstrand was born in Gothenburg and trained as a painter and craftsman at the craft association's school. Before starting at Upsala-Ekeby, Lindstrand worked at Orrefors glass factory 1924–41 and then came to Upsala-Ekeby in 1942 where he was employed as artistic director until 1950. During this time many unique objects came out of his hands, but he also contributed objects to the standard collection. Efter his time at Upsala-Ekeby, he took over as artistic director at Kosta in 1950 and came to dominate the fifties. Vicke stayed at Kosta until 1973.
Vicke Lindstrand is represented above all with his glass at, among others, the National Museum, Röhsska and the Metropolitan Museum.
