If you ask any member of the Sirius Dogsled Patrol about the best things about his 26 month in Northeast Greenland, I would bet that working with the dogs would be on top of the list.
We spend many hours with them every single day on the long patrols and these dogs are not just tools to pull the sled – they becomes your friends with each their personality.
When we camp after a long day of dogsledding, we usually untie the dogs and let them run around and play for some time. This is important for their wellbeing, for their social connection and for the hierarchy.
