These were fun to find, and more fun to spend a little time with, telling lots of stories-- about America, and graphic design, and about the life and travels of the person who built this collection! Oh, the days when matchbooks were everywhere. I especially love seeing the ones for Baby Ruth and Chicklets and Doublemint Gum, as well as the Waldorf Astoria, Beekman Arms, etc. Also a number from the Chicago World's Fair. A bit of quick searching suggests some of these may be quite collectible but I'm all about the collection. Mostly late 1920s/early 30s to 1940s it appears to me.
