Oil painting on wood based on a film photograph by Elisabeth Daring, a park ranger in the Pacific Northwest. Part of my series, Passage, painted while a caregiver. This work was done also while taking an art history course on the painter Renoir, and The Barnes Foundation Museum. I used a new color pallet and new techniques of gesture to push my work forward in this painting. The foreground is much more expressive than my earlier works.
