Midori's Grain notebooks represent a meeting of two great traditions of craftsmanship: Spanish leatherworking and Japanese papermaking. Genuine leather from Valencia, Spain covers two types of Midori's MD Paper: white ruled sheets in the first half of the memo pad, and cream-colored blank sheets in the second half. Both types feature the excellent writability and smooth surface you'd expect from Midori paper.

You can use the pad for different purposes, like writing letters on the ruled sheets while using plain sheets for drawing illustrations and graphs. There are two heavy pieces of chipboard in the back of the book, so it's easy to write or sketch without a table. It's all finished with a sturdy, brown elastic band.
