Salicylic Acid, derived from acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), is a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA). Unlike alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), BHAs are oil-soluble, allowing them to penetrate oily pores and exfoliate from within. This helps to break down the substances that contribute to breakouts and uneven skin texture. By aiding in the removal of excess sebum, Salicylic Acid can help improve the appearance of oily skin.

Directions for use

This product contains Salicylic Acid, a beta-hydroxy acid (BHA) derived from aspirin.
Due to its potential for skin sensitivity and interaction with other skincare products, it's essential to follow the following guidelines:   

Allergies: Do not use if allergic to aspirin.
Skin Conditions: Avoid use on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin.
Pre-Procedure Care: Discontinue use of retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, chemical exfoliants, eyebrow growth serums and skin brighteners for at least two to three weeks before microblading or dermabrasion.   
Product Compatibility: To minimize irritation, avoid using Salicylic Acid with abrasive cleansers, alcohol-based products, other acne treatments or drying cosmetics.
Health Considerations: Use with great caution if you have kidney disease, gastric ulcers, severe anaemia, are sensitive to salicylates or have diabetes. Avoid prolonged or excessive use, especially on large areas of broken or inflamed skin. Keep away from eyes, mouth and mucous membranes. Use with caution on extremities if you have poor circulation.
Patch Test: Before full use, apply a small amount to a discreet area for three days to check for sensitivity. If irritation occurs, reduce frequency or discontinue use.
Severe Reactions: If you experience severe irritation, hives, swelling, blistering or difficulty breathing, rinse off the product, cease use and seek medical attention immediately. 
Sun Sensitivity: This product can increase sun sensitivity. Wear sunscreen & protective clothing and limit sun exposure during and after use.
