Field Notes' Autumn 2025 edition is a homage to the purple coneflower, the false foxglove, and the common chicory - flowers that remain even when the days get shorter and colder. Drawn in the style of early-20th-century "publishers' bindings," the covers are printed with three subtle metallic inks on Mohawk’s new “Midnight Blue” 100#C Mosaic stock with a “burlap” finish. The inside back covers features a bit of data about each flower, plus a scaled-down list of Practical Applications.

• Cover and innards printed on a Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102S six-color printing press.

• Bound with a Muller Martini 6-pocket saddle stitcher with cover feeder/scorer, with appreciation to Samuel Slocum, George W. McGill, and William J. Brown, the “Founding Fathers of the Staple.

• Corners precisely rounded to a 3/8" (9.5mm) radius with a Challenge DCM double round-corner machine.

• Ruled lines: 1/4" (6.4mm).

• Memo book dimensions are 3-1/2" × 5-1/2" (89mm × 140mm).
